We’ve been engaged since April 2023!
Jed proposed at AfrikaBurn last year!!!
Ever since, we’ve been coordinating with our immediate families on visas & passports between our two home countries —USA & South Africa— and it’s been challenging to solidify a plan. All the while I’ve been coming & going from South Africa to stay in good legal standing myself visa wise.
Now almost a year has past!
And where we’d still love to wed with all our family & close friends—
We’re very ready to step into our lives together fully!
Being an international couple is quite the thing! But sooo worth it with the life we get to share together! Instead of letting the process get us down, we’ve decided to make the best of it!

Where it all began…

Here’s a glimpse into the first few months of our relationship!
It was love at first dance… literally!
A night out on the town for both, Tara with travel friends & Jedithan with colleagues.
We met on the dance floor— on 80’s night at the Athletics Social Club in Cape Town, SA… old school!
Only months before, we’d both welcomed the idea that we might forever be single.
And that’s what we both believe changed everything!
This relationship is like none other— a love that invites more of our individual selves out to play, that encourages us to dream big, be curious & be ever more of we ❤︎
We’re silly, we’re fun, we learn from & inspire each other.
Never have I known a love like this could exist…
